Colour

Colour

The first film we watched was 'voyage a Travers l'impossible by the pioneer Georges miles in 1904, to get the colours in they had to hand paint frame buy frame. The next improvement of colour in film was the two-strip technicolor and the only colours in that was red and green, an example of this was in a film called The mystery of the max museum (1933).

The First full three strip technicolor was used in a film called Becky Sharp (1935)

As we can see in this trailer a lot of use of the colours red and green are involved.

The main colours that were used in the 1930s and 1940s were black and white, the high budget films could only afford some colours.
