Screening

Screening

The feedback that we got from the 20 people screening was that they enjoyed the opening and they were very interested because they wanted to know what was going to happen in the end and it kept them at the end of there seats every moment after the killing of the main character which pulled them into the film more which shows it was a good idea for one of the main characters to die to be able to get the attention of the viewer. Then they also said they wanted to hear the characters to speak more to each other. They said they wanted to see more character and a tiny bit of more action but overall they like the killing of the main character and the concept of the storyline.

First Draft Evaluation

First draft Evaluation

we asked others to view our film to get some feedback, we found out that the audience who viewed our thriller thought that the beginning of the thriller was different and they didn't expect what was coming, however they said the audio and the actual storyline was very interesting. They like the killing part and they said it was very different for a teenager to be involved in a murder and the main character dieing.

Audience Feedback

Audience Feedback

Audience Feedback
The audience were interested by the film because of the very thrilling moment and they want to know what is on the CD and they want to solve a mystery on what will happen and also try to solve why the argument happened and why one of the main characters were killed by another main character which usually does not happen in reality.

Title sequence

Title sequence

for our title sequence we went on Dafont to find the font we wanted to use. we knew we wanted our font to be bold and dark as it will suit the thriller theme. we also wanted it to stick out therefore we didn't want something small that will not be seen. we decided with either a broken font theme as it represented the broken friendship in our film. or the blurred out one as it looked disrupted like their friendship.

Editing 1

Editing 1

The editing was done on an imac and we used the program called Adobe premier pro. We filmed all the scenes on this first day and the uploaded it on to adobe premier pro which then we had to edit the sound and trim the scenes down to the right timing and be able to time the music right. We made sure the clips were all together and the editing was matched so it didn't look amateur.

2nd production meeting

2nd production meeting

in the 2nd production meeting this was between Aklima & Stephanie they put down the storyline of what will really happen between the characters which they made Ben&Stephanie. The storyline was made up from the a secret CD which had information of Ben on there which if it was leaked it would cause a problem and ben had to kill Stephanie, but he founds out there are more copies.

1st production meeting

1st production meeting

1st production meeting

At first me and ben were planning and writing ideas down and also other plots and narratives and also discussing the location of where we will shoot the film. After putting down some keyword we came up with the idea of a revenge and a vengeance and we put two friends together and they had an argument which caused the death of one of them.

1st day of filming

1st day of filming

First day of filming

On our first day of filming we arranged to meet up in school. we filmed on the school site making sure that the area in which we were filming in was empty to prevent others coming into the shot. However we did face a few problems, for example the camera stopped working during one of our shots which in this situation we had to replace the camera and begin our filming again. Also we had to be cautious of the time as the children from the lower years moved classes after the bell went which could have been a problem as they could have got into our shots. however we did manage to film the first half of the film during our first day filming. Therefore we filmed the falling out between the two characters which had been best friends for years but also how vengeance comes about between the two and leads to uncertainty amongst the other person as to what they meant but also what will happen.

Intial Ideas

At first we had thought to set it within a car park due to our first mindset was to film to be on the basis of revenge between once close mates therefore making the fact that revenge is deeper than normal revenge therefore to start of from childhood with them to today. We wanted to film within a car park as it's a open space therefore an attack or plot for revenge could come from anywhere at any moment therefore building more suspense and more to the imagination of the audience.
But within the film will use such shots as low angle or high angle to represent a sense of vulnerability or power the character possesses but also how this switches within the film then within the editing when the argument and disagreement is occurring will use the shot reverse shot to represent the conversation back and forth or the over the shoulder shot. The sound used will be non-digetic to add emphasis to what the setting is within the film therefore uncertainty will use unsettling music to represent the build up and tension to something bad occurring however digetic sound will be which comes from the surroundings to fit more in with it. Miss-en-scene with the props and costumes will include casual to fit just a normal type of outfit as it isn't an event or a special thing furthermore the camera placement within the filming has to be in the aspect to fit with the setting to show the surroundings where the possible threats could or could not come from.

We are then going to use a close up tracking shot of someone’s feet also walking away, this will link into the scene before to show a different angle and point of the person walking away. Also still using dramatic music.
